Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the ProbateStudio Wisconsin hosted beta. Please read them before using the service or downloading probate documents.

Beta status

ProbateStudio Wisconsin is currently a controlled beta document-automation service. It may contain errors, missing features, incorrect assumptions, or incomplete county-specific information. Do not sign, serve, publish, file, or rely on generated documents until the filer has carefully reviewed the information, signatures, county requirements, and filing steps for the specific matter, and decided whether to consult a licensed attorney.

Company information

ProbateStudio is operated by ProbateStudio Technologies, LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company. Website: probatestudio.com. Support: support@probatestudio.com. Public mailing address: [Public business/mailing address TBD].

What the service does

ProbateStudio helps users organize probate information and assemble draft Wisconsin probate forms, checklists, filing handoffs, and related software-generated summaries based on user answers.

The service does not file documents with a court, serve or mail documents, publish notices, contact interested persons, pay claims, open bank accounts, obtain tax IDs, distribute property, or make legal decisions for you.

No legal advice

ProbateStudio Technologies, LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, case-specific legal review, court filing services, or official court services. Use of the service does not create an attorney-client relationship.

If your case involves uncertainty, disagreement, minors, protected persons, missing heirs or beneficiaries, public-benefit recovery, creditor pressure, tax issues, real estate issues, unusual assets, formal probate, or questions about legal rights, consider consulting a licensed probate attorney.

User responsibilities

  • Enter accurate and complete information.
  • Review all generated documents before signing, serving, publishing, filing, or relying on them.
  • Confirm current county, court, Register in Probate, and eFiling requirements.
  • Collect required wet signatures and maintain original signed documents where needed.
  • Handle deadlines, notices, publication, service, claims, inventory, accounting, taxes, distributions, and closing requirements.
  • Decide whether to consult an attorney for the specific case.

Standard court forms

Wisconsin PR forms are standard court forms. ProbateStudio is designed to fill blanks and check boxes without changing official court form language, captions, form numbers, revision dates, statutory references, signature blocks, or official instructions. Software summaries, checklists, and filing instructions are separate from the court forms.

Accounts, storage, and downloads

The current beta does not create hosted user accounts, process real payments, or store probate case files in a ProbateStudio cloud database. Case answers are primarily stored in your browser's local storage and in any backup or document files you download.

You are responsible for saving backup files, protecting downloaded documents, and deleting local browser data or files when appropriate. If you switch devices or browsers, your local case may not follow you unless you download and reload a backup file.

Payments and refunds

The current hosted beta is free to use for testing. No real payment is collected and no paid document unlock is active.

Before any paid launch, ProbateStudio will disclose fees, what is included, refund rules, support boundaries, and download terms before any payment is requested. For paid use, any refund request should be sent to support@probatestudio.com and will be handled under the refund policy shown at the time of purchase.

Support

Support is available at support@probatestudio.com. Support is for technical issues, product feedback, access problems, and document-generation problems. Support does not include legal advice, legal strategy, court representation, or case-specific legal guidance.

Beta feedback

You may submit feedback about usability, form output, interested-person logic, packet decisions, or other issues. ProbateStudio may use feedback to improve the service, create test scenarios, identify launch blockers, and improve documentation. Do not send Social Security numbers, full account numbers, passwords, medical records, or unnecessary private financial details in feedback.

Third-party links and services

The service may link to government, court, tax, eFiling, financial, bond, newspaper, or other third-party websites. Those links are provided for convenience and information only. ProbateStudio does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, fees, availability, privacy practices, or decisions.

Attorney and referral features

Attorney login, attorney involvement, attorney referral, paid lead sharing, sponsored placement, and attorney handoff features are disabled unless separately enabled after legal, ethics, privacy, and security review. Nothing is sent to an attorney or third party through the current static beta unless you separately choose to send it.

No acceptance promise

ProbateStudio does not promise that any form, packet, checklist, instruction, software result, or filing format will be accepted by any court, Register in Probate, attorney, financial institution, agency, creditor, newspaper, or other third party.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProbateStudio Technologies, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, delay, court rejection, missed deadlines, or case outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the amount you paid ProbateStudio for the affected service. For the free beta, no paid fee has been collected. Some laws do not allow certain limits, so these limits apply only where permitted.

Changes

These Terms may change as the product moves from beta to production. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms for later use.
